Sbucciapack®
100% recyclable

Sbucciapack® is a patented packaging system that can be used on any industrial automatic packaging system. It is characterised by the coupling of a layer of paper, on the outer side, with a layer of plastic film, on the inner side. The two materials, firmly coupled with biodegradable water-based glues, can be easily separated at the end of product consumption, to be individually disposed of in separate waste collection. This is why Sbucciapack® is 100% recyclable packaging, because it eliminates the production of undifferentiated dry waste.

paper becomes
new paper and plastic film becomes new plastic

Sbucciapack® is an innovative packaging first and foremost because it allows the layers that make up the bag or wrapper to be separated easily, quickly and without getting your hands dirty after use, so that they can be disposed of as recyclable waste: paper with paper, plastic with plastic. In this way, packaging disposal is no longer a problem and, rather, is transformed into a new economic resource.

the green
packaging revolution

The ecological soul of Sbucciapack® is strengthened by the choice of exclusively recycled or natural papers, i.e. produced using cellulose from responsibly managed cultivations that adhere to reforestation programmes. These are programmes that, in full respect of the environmental balance, provide for the conservation and enrichment of the forest heritage with the constant planting of new trees.

Sbucciapack®
more paper and less film

Paper reinforces the structure of the package in a natural way and offers a valuable alternative in terms of robustness, which would otherwise be achieved through a non-sustainable choice, i.e. through the use of multiple layers of plastic film, which can only be laminated with non-biodegradable solvent glues. In addition, the paper on the outer side of the packaging allows for aesthetically pleasing customisation through high-quality printing using ecological water-based inks.

The plastic film acts as an oxygen/gas and moisture/aroma barrier, while the paper offers protection against light and temperature changes, which are responsible for product ageing. A sort of ‘air chamber’ is created between the two layers, which, in the presence of thermal shock, increases in volume, protecting the packaged product from thermal shock. The patented system is therefore widely used in both the food and non-food sectors and can be produced with any type of paper and plastic film available on the market.

Acquapack®
100% eco-friendly

Acquapack® is paper or laminated paper/film packaging made with water-based glues and inks that, compared to solvent-based alternatives, are non-toxic, environmentally friendly and easily biodegradable; therefore, they can be safely disposed of without causing damage to the ecosystem. Furthermore, they do not contain potentially harmful chemicals and are therefore the ideal choice for any packaging, especially for food products.

innovation imprinted
on the film

Working with paper/film laminates, we also wanted to experiment with water-based printing on plastic films. And to go where only a few have gone before.
After much research, numerous tests and major investments in technology, we have succeeded in achieving our goal: to produce prints of unquestionable quality, high definition and brilliant colours, also on film, with water-based colours.
This result makes our packaging offer more and more in line with the needs of today’s consumer, who is sensitive to the ecological aspects of packaging, recycling and respect for the environment.
We have invested in a state-of-the-art and unique 10-colour printing system: it is equipped with exclusive functions, developed in-house, to achieve levels of excellence in packaging customisation.

eco-compatibility
in every choice

The added value of Acquapack® derives not only from the environmentally friendly inks, but also from the use of water-based glues for laminating paper/paper, paper/film and some film materials. These are glues that eliminate the emission of solvent residues into the atmosphere, do not pollute, and guarantee total health safety, especially in the case of accidental contact with foodstuffs. Our commitment to research and development continues with the aim of extending the use of water-based adhesives to all film/film laminates in the near future.
Terpap® is the trademarked packaging made of natural pure cellulose paper, certified according to chains of custody that guarantee traceability, and characterised by a water-based synthetic heat-sealing treatment that makes its use in the food industry possible. Terpap® responds to the desire to contribute to a ‘plastic-free’ world with a new packaging solution that is entirely recyclable, biodegradable and compostable.

strong
yet flexible

Although it is made of paper, like the packaging of yesteryear, Terpap® is an innovative solution, because it introduces important elements of improvement compared to normal heat-sealing papers on the market. We measured the ideal weight of the paper to combine two requirements: on the one hand, the strength of the fibre, to offer high-strength packaging, and on the other, the elasticity of the fibre, to allow Terpap® to be used in automated packaging lines.

functional and
accessible

Designed for the automated packaging of dry food products such as pasta, dried fruit or cereals, Terpap®’s new heat-sealing system ensures a secure seal, suitable even on papers with barriers that prevent the migration of fats and oils, water vapour and oxygen, making its potential range of application in the food sector very wide. Finally, Terpap® can be used on any paper packaging machine, does not require the purchase of specific packaging machines and is therefore easily accessible to any food company.
